Contest Bake-Away With British Airways KL Route 1st Anniversary

It’s time to start pre-heating the oven and put on the chef hat! British Airways announces a “Bake-Away with British Airways” competition to mark its first anniversary of resumption of direct flights to Kuala Lumpur. The winner will be awarded two return tickets to London with British Airways.

Entries must incorporate Malaysian and British themes and demonstrate the connection between the UK and Malaysia. Interested parties can email a photo of their intended entry to <bakeaway@quattro.com.my>, and in 25 words explain “Why I should be the finalist at the Bake-Away with British Airways competition”.  The competition entries will close on Tuesday, 24 May 2016.

Vivian Tan-Loh, British Airways’ country manager for Malaysia said, “We would like to invite people from Malaysia to bring together their imagination to celebrate with us on this very special occasion. It is a delight to mark our first anniversary in such an interesting way. We look forward to seeing a lot of creative and delicious baked goods created by our contestants.” Twelve finalists will take part in the final “Bake-Away” at the Starhill Culinary Studio on Thursday, 2 June 2016. Following the competition, the judging and prize presentation will be held at Newens Tea House in the same afternoon.

British Airways first resumed the direct flight in May 2015; seven months later, the airline further demonstrated its commitment to this market by upgrading the aircraft to the latest Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Not only this newest aircraft is the most technologically advanced in the British Airways fleet, it also features the new First cabin that is made to impress.  For more information on the competition, please go to British Airways Facebook page or ba.com/bakeaway.
